Trains, Planes and Cars

We headed out to the wild, wild West on Sunday to the SSME Model Park to check out the model trains, planes and cars.

They also had mini steam and deasel trains you can ride on, which Jet loved of course! Needless to say, the trains were Jet's favourite.

If you look really close, you can see Adrian & Victoria with Finn & Olivia in the picture.

And here is Jet & me, and Jo and Thomas, one of Jet's friends from my local mother's group.

It's all fun and games until a train derails... luckily, no-one was hurt.

The rest of the time, Jet was glued to the model train set window, which was almost as big as our balcony.

And to finish, a little footage of a train ride!

My Little Marine Boy

Ok, I know what you guys really, really want - hanging out for some pictures of Jet! :)

Took Jet to the pools a few weeks ago for the first time in ages, and he loved it!

Got him a Thomas the Tang Engine tube thingy and he was a bit scared at first, as it had been awhile since we've been swimming, but pretty soon he was not letting us touch him at all, and wanted to roam free!

Not long now, before I can palm him off to Matt and they can go surfing together... so mummy can go shopping on her own.... muwahahahaha.

Beauty & the Beast

I went to see this with my sister and another friend of hers down in Melbourne a few weeks ago.

Aaahhh what bliss to sleep in, have breakfast in a cafe (minus toddler spilling babychino all over himself), and walk around the shops without running all over the place after a hyper 2 year old! The things you took for granted when you were childless has become such a luxury!

The show was great - beautiful set, beautiful costumes, and beautiful songs.

Even managed to hit the nightclub scene - how could we not, in the capital of Nightclubs? - and got hit on by young 20-something boys! ;)

Our Fifth Wedding Anniversary

...was on the 6th of October.

5 years, and still going strong... ;)

N.B. Excuse the poor quality of the photo, I had to take a picture of a picture as it was stuck down on our album.

We went to Level 41, and had the degustation menu -- absolutely divine!

6 courses of mouth-watering delights...

Jazz King

The Manly Jazz Festival was on this weekend, so we thought we'd give Jet a taste of Jazz and see what he thought... and the verdict is... he loves it!

And apparently, I have a bit of an exhibitionist for a son! I wonder where *that* gene came from??? *eh hem, Matt* He even found a cute blonde girl to dance with... Anika, my friend Ally's daughter who is almost four.

And... *scary music* he discovered the drum! Please please please Jet, don't be a drummer boy!

My Dad is 60!

I can't believe my dad is 60... I remember my grandfather (my dad's father) turning 60, I was only 7 or 8 and thinking, wow what an impossibly old age LOL.

And of course, Jet thought it was his birthday... he insisted on blowing out the candles!

The other toddler is Chris, my cousin... yes, my cousin as in my Uncle's son who is actually younger than Jet... so not sure what the correct label is for Jet - I guess they can just go under the vague title of "second cousins" or something similar.

And this is Chris' sister, Catherine, only 3 months old... and Jet is giving her a kiss... check out his groovy milk moustache.

And here is Jet yet again stealing Daddy's cake... with a "don't you dare come near my cake" look... I wonder where he learnt that from???
